History of the creation and development of the Department of Finance
In 1996, the Department of Economics and Business was established on the basis of L.N. Gumilev ENU. In the 1999-2000 academic year, the Department of Economics and Business was divided into 2 departments: the Department of Finance; the Department of International Economics and Business. The first head of the Department "Finance" of the Faculty of Economics of the L.N.Gumilyov ENU was appointed Ph.D., Associate Professor L.M. Sembieva. At various times, the department was headed by Ph.D., Associate Professor Nurkhalieva D.M., Ph.D., Associate Professor Zhanybayeva Z.K., Ph.D., Professor S.E. Kerimkulov, Ph.D., associate Professor Lashkareva O.V., Doctor of Economics, Professor Makysh S.B., Doctor of Economics, Professor Sadvokasova K.Zh., Candidate of Economics Associate Professor Kerimbek G.E., Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Yesenova G.Zh., Doctor of Economics, Professor Nasyrova G.A.

Main tasks:
- Organization of the department 's work to improve the quality of educational and methodological support of educational programs;
- Formation of a policy to improve the quality of the personnel potential of the department, development of a system of advanced training of teaching staff;
