THE INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
International cooperation is a crucial direction of the department’s activities and serves as an indicator of its competitiveness at the global level. It contributes to the introduction of advanced trends, the expansion of scientific communication, and the improvement of the quality of the educational process in accordance with the standards of the world’s leading universities. The internationalization strategy is implemented through the involvement of foreign professors and the development of joint scientific and methodological projects.
Within the framework of the implementation of educational programs and academic mobility, the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship actively works on inviting well-known foreign scholars to deliver lectures, conduct seminars, and participate in collaborative projects. The selection of invited specialists is carried out in accordance with the “Regulations on the recruitment of foreign specialists and reimbursement procedures” of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
In recent years, the department has been visited for academic and consultative purposes by:

Currently, the department hosts a visiting professor — Abdul Rahim from MARA University of Technology (Malaysia), who teaches two courses in the fall semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.
The department actively develops scientific cooperation with foreign partners: joint seminars and round tables are regularly organized, and international research projects are being implemented. Faculty members and doctoral students participate in international conferences both in neighboring and distant countries.
Another important direction is the recruitment of international students. Under international agreements, double-degree programs within the CIS University network, SCO University, and inter-university cooperation, the department has trained and continues to train students from China, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and Russia. In the 2025–2026 academic year, students from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan additionally joined these programs.
The department is implementing a joint master’s program with Nankai University (China). In the 2025–2026 academic year, 180 Chinese students were enrolled in the programs 7M04102 – Economics and 7M04134 – International Business and Strategic Trade Control.
