
The 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference "Kazakhstan – China: Digital Economy and the Belt and Road Initiative – 2026" was held

On May 23, 2026, the I International Scientific and Practical Conference “Kazakhstan–China: Digital Economy and One Belt, One Road – 2026” was successfully organized by the Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in cooperation with Nankai University.
The conference brought together leading scholars from Kazakhstan and China, university professors, young researchers, master’s students, and doctoral candidates. During the plenary and sectional sessions, participants discussed current issues related to the digital economy, artificial intelligence, transformation of the education system, international cooperation, and labor market changes.
Welcome speeches and presentations were delivered by representatives of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Astana International University, as well as other leading universities and research institutions. Master’s students enrolled in the joint educational program with Nankai University also specially arrived to participate in the conference.
Special attention was paid to strengthening scientific and educational cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, as well as developing digital partnership within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Participants exchanged experiences and discussed prospects for future joint research and international projects.
As a result of the conference, recommendations were adopted on the development of the digital economy, implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, and expansion of international academic cooperation. The conference received highly positive feedback from participants and became an important platform for scientific dialogue and knowledge exchange.
